The mitochondrial cofactor
Kaneka Q10® CoQ10 — part of how your cells make energy.
Inside each mitochondrion, a chain of proteins passes electrons along to make ATP, the molecule your cells spend as energy. Coenzyme Q10 is the carrier in the middle of that chain. Kaneka Q10® is CoQ10 made by yeast fermentation, in Japan and the USA.

The carrier in the middle of the chain.
Your body makes CoQ10 and also takes it in from food. It sits in the inner membrane of the mitochondria, shuttling electrons between the protein complexes that drive ATP production. That role is what the name Cellular Energy refers to.
What it’s for
- Supports cellular energy productionCoQ10 carries electrons along the chain inside your mitochondria that produces ATP, your cells’ energy currency.
- An antioxidantIn its reduced form, CoQ10 helps protect cell membranes from oxidation.
- FermentedKaneka makes its CoQ10 by fermenting yeast, then purifying it to the USP standard.
- An old, well-known ingredientKaneka Q10® was sold in the US before 1994 and is one of the most studied forms of CoQ10.
We don’t claim CoQ10 at 100 mg makes you feel less tired. In a small study of healthy volunteers, 300 mg a day reduced fatigue on a cycling task and 100 mg did not. Larger reviews find effects mostly at higher doses and over longer periods.
