Riddhima spending time with a cow during the visit to Goloka Farm
A visit to Goloka Farm · Redmond, Washington

It started with a visit.

Our founder, Riddhima, and her husband visited Goloka Farm in Redmond, Washington. They spent time with the cows and helped feed them, and supporting the cows’ care became part of what we do at Balanso.

Goloka cares for more than 100 cows across its locations, including over 30 at Redmond. Our contribution supports their care across every location, not only the farm we visited.

A few things to know.

Where does the contribution go?

To the care of cows across Goloka Farm’s locations, not only the farm we visited. We count it in Goloka’s own unit: $2,000 adopts one cow for a year, so every $0.50 is about two hours of a cow’s care.

Does this add anything to my order total?

No. We make the contribution. It is not an additional charge or a donation added to your checkout.

How do you count what’s been given?

Only completed payments to Goloka count. The hours, the days and the barn’s stall plaques are all worked out from those payments.

Do you fund the new barn?

Our contribution goes to the cows’ care. The painting shows Goloka’s planned barn, with a stall for each cow’s year of care our customers have given. Goloka raises money for the barn itself separately.
