The dietary antioxidant
Ergothioneine is an antioxidant found in foods like mushrooms. Your body can’t make it, but your cells have a dedicated transporter to take it in and hold on to it. ErgoActive® is the same molecule, made by fermentation.

In a 16-week study, adults aged 55–79 took 10 mg, 25 mg or a placebo each morning with food. At 10 mg, blood ergothioneine was about three times its starting level by week 4 and about six times by week 16, while the placebo group stayed flat.
What it’s for
What researchers measured — at our 10 mg dose

The same study measured memory, reaction time and sleep. At 10 mg there were no clear differences from placebo; the effects it reported were at 25 mg. So we make no memory or sleep claim for ErgoActive®.
